Benjamin J. Rosin

Benjamin J. Rosin was one of the founding partners in the predecessor law firm of Rosin Steinhagen Mendel, which was created in 1985, and he has continuously managed the firm’s practice since that time.

After graduating from Middlebury College and the Columbia University School of Law, Ben served with the U.S. Army Judge Advocates General Corps and began his legal practice at the law firm of Webster and Sheffield. Ben has practiced extensively in the field of Adoption Law since 1969, and has represented numerous other clients in his years of practice.

Ben was a charter fellow of the The Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA), and he served on its Board of Trustees for two terms. Ben has lectured on adoption at the American Bar Association’s annual meeting, at the New York County Lawyers’ Association, the PLI Adoption Law Institute and yearly to the Adoptive Parents Association. He was a member of the United States Senate Advisory committee on The Hague Conference on International Adoptions. In 2007, Ben was honored for his significant contributions to the New York City Family Courts, when he received the Kathryn A. McDonald award.
